Alexandra Maria Lara has been a German/Romanian television actress for over a decade. Alexandra is known for parts on Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Born the only child to Romanian actors Valentin Platareu. Alexandra started her showbiz career in the early years of her life. At the age of 16, she was sixteen, she had secured prominent roles in a variety of shows on television. After her critically acclaimed role in the television film Der Tunnel, Alexandra went on to play other noteworthy roles such as Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudljunge in Downfall. The film received nominations for an Oscar and was a critical as well as commercial success. The Reader, Der Baader Meinhof Komplex as well as The Reader are also Oscar-nominated films featuring the beautiful diva. Alexandra is known for her participation in a variety of notable projects, both in the United States and internationally. They include the British biographical film Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time as well as the French historical mini-series Napoleon among others. She was also a member of both The Cannes Film Festival jury and Transylvania International Film Festival.
